11th of January – International Thank You Day

All of us today so lack these real feelings of gratitude and joy, so it is not surprising that in many countries around the world there is a World Thank You Day. It can be named differently in different countries. For example, in the USA this holiday is called "National Thank You Day", some even devote this holiday to the whole month of January - "National Thank You Month".

The tradition of this holiday is, in general, the same, but very deep in emotions and feelings. This day will become a festive day for you if you do not forget to say magic "thank you" to everyone. It is customary to exchange cute postcards with the words "Thank you!" In which you can write what you are grateful for. And don't think that someone didn't deserve this gratitude. There is a fairly proven opinion that every person who appears in our life comes either to give us something (more than material) or to teach us something (sometimes not in a very positive situation and not always instantly understood by us). In some countries, there is even a tradition of thanking each other not only in personal life but also in business. For example, in various ways (postcards, bonus services, and programs, pleasant souvenirs), companies thank their customers and partners.

A sincere "thank you" carries on itself both a function of showing politeness, respect for a person, and an expression of gratitude. All this psychology defines as incredibly significant categories in communication.

Some experts call words of gratitude a kind of "pill", which for many of us has healing properties. They affect both relationships and emotions. We feel not only the joy of gratitude but also the feeling of complete completeness of the action associated with this person comes. Remember, in contrast, the state when you did something for someone, and the person did not say a word in response ... We either expect to hear it or often remember “this ingratitude”. They even say that the habit of giving thanks allows us to pay more attention to the positive moments in life, saving us from depression and simply pessimistic moods.

There is even an opinion that "thank you" and other words of gratitude are identifiers of your sympathy for a person. They are based on the fact that you don't want to upset someone you like with ingratitude or leave him a bad opinion of yourself. And vice versa, pronouncing these words during communication, you can influence the very emergence of a positive attitude towards you. Also, many advise to thank your life even for no reason in the present, and in return, she can give us her “gifts” and pleasant changes in the future (this can simply be explained by maintaining a positive attitude in oneself, which contributes to better life steps and the right choice).

Psychologists recommend using the word "thank you" to "mitigate" refusal to do something. Those who cannot say "no" right away are offered to answer "thank you" and supplement it with gestures of denial.

You lady surely has lots of reasons to be thanked for! For example, for being so beautiful, for being so caring and loving. For just existing in your life. That's why you should write her a letter saying how much you thank her for everything she does in your life!
