International Cat Day is not a very old holiday despite the fact that these animals have been the part of our houses for many and many thousands of years. It is estimated, that nowadays there are approximately 500 million cats living all over the world! So, on the 8th of August, the whole world celebrated the day of these purring and sweet animals. The holiday was created by the International Fund for Animal Welfare.
