It was on this day in 1839 that the French Government bought out the patent of the chemist Louis Jacques Mandé Daguerre. After much research and experimentation, the scientist got an imprint on a copper plate covered with silver - the so-called daguerreotype. A new wondrous invention was announced to the whole world. And the world day of photography was approved in 2009 at the suggestion of the Australian photographer Korske Ara.

More than 30 years after the invention of photography, James Maxwell managed to make a new breakthrough in this field - to get a coloring image. And in 1981, the company "Sony" came up with digital cameras, which served as the next impetus to the development of the art of photography. Photographers could experiment endlessly, abandoning film. They now had hundreds of thousands of frames at their disposal. However, some professional photographers still prefer film, believing that it perfectly captures the character of each image.

Now the photo is a matter of seconds. One click, and the picture is ready, selfies, you can print photos instantly in any shopping center or photo studio. But before the development of the photo was expected, printing took over one day, and it was possible to take a photo only in a photo studio.
