21st of November- World Hello Day

World Hello Day is celebrated annually on November 21. Its main goal is to draw the attention of the general public to the importance of personal communication for the preservation of peace. After all, only through good communication, and not using force, can almost any conflict be resolved.

This holiday of greetings was invented in 1973 by two American brothers Michael and Brian McCormack at the height of the Cold War, in response to the conflict between Egypt and Israel. The day was needed as a protest against the growing international tension.

“We need a simple but effective action,” the brothers decided and sent letters of warm greetings to all parts of the world. They did not impose their ideas on the struggle for world peace and the reduction of international tension on anyone. They only asked the addressee to greet someone else, well, at least ten people!

This idea has been supported in over 180 countries. Since then, the World Day of Greetings has been celebrated by citizens of all professions and ages, and by major political leaders, and industrial magnates, and world-famous personalities of film and television.

Although each nation has its own historically established customs of greeting each other, interethnic etiquette, especially at various international meetings, is essentially the same - when meeting, traditionally, people wish each other well and health, prosperity, and success in business.

"Hello" is such a simple word, but it can start a big and important story of your new life! If you hesitated to say your first "Hello" to the lady on VeronikaLove - this is the day you should do this! Write her a letter, say Hello - and may this wonderful holiday turn into the annual celebration of your love story started today!
