5th of October — World Teachers’ Day

On the 5th of October almost 100 countries celebrate the World Teachers' Day! Everyone accepts the fact that this is a vitally important profession that stands at the same stage with doctors and protectors of peace. This day all who are connected with teaching either in schools or at the higher institutions or simply courses are praised and should be congratulated. They are the people who make contribution into our future society.

Officially, for the first time, this holiday was celebrated in 1994. However, the first discussion of the importance and status of teachers was held in 1966 on the Special Intergovernmental Conference on the Status of Teachers in Paris. Basically, one can consider that this wonderful profession was accepted fully by the society from that very moment.

All countries protect their teachers as they know their importance. This day they organize various celebrations, but most important attention these people receive from is from their pupils and students. Lots of flowers are presented to them together with sweets. These are the standart gifts that will surely be accepted by teachers. If your beloved woman also has this profession, don't forget to treat her with something nice this day!

Teaching is a very popular profession among Slavic ladies. They are good with children, and many of them wish to help them grow up into good and smart people. Teaching in Ukraine and Russia differs from teaching in other countries, as teachers give parts of their souls and hearts to their students in their wish to improve the world. And surely they cope with their task.
