25th of May – European Neighbors Day

When we come back home, we tend to think that we return to our castle, our well-protected place, where no one will even find us, and where we feel good and secured. However, actually we are never alone. We always have our neighbors! Even if you live in a house, there are probably people living nearby. Yet, in Slavic countries this topic is more widespread, because people live in apartments, and have to face other people every day. You might have probably heard different stories about neighbors from your beautiful Russian lady on VeronikaLove. And for this there is a special holiday, European Neighbors Day, that teaches us, how to live in harmony with others.

There are a few rues for treating your neighbors. No one says that you need to love them, but you can still have neutral relations. For this it is better to keep calm and be polite with them when you meet them somewhere. Respect the fact that from the other side of the wall there are people who wish to have a rest and to feel comfortable, so it is better not to be noisy and not to turn on your music loud. If you decide to make repairs, you should warn them about this. Always smile to your neighbors, and you will notice that there are much less problems with them, and you can come to mutual understanding easier than before. They are also living people.

This day people are offered and advised to gather with the neighbors and spend some funny and interesting activity. If you are not willing to have a picnic or a party, you may do something useful, for example, clean the territory around your house. And in any case you will get acquainted better with them, even if you didn’t know someone of them. And maybe such collective work will warm your relations up!

And what about your lady on VeronikaLove? Does she have some stories about the neighbors? She will probably be glad to share with you a few stories! Just imagine that she is your neighbor, and you have great time together in the evening in online video chat!
