22nd of September – Car-Free Day

The environmental protection is a very keen problem in our modern world. We tend to chase the comfort and forget about everything that happens around us, even if our comfort destroys nature and animals. Na this became the really huge problem recently. People and organizations all over the world started to drag the attention of everyone to what we are doing with the only planet we have to live on. Apart from different meetings and events that help taking care of nature, in the 2000 year the special Car-Free day was created that is held on the 22nd of September.

This day is not a holiday but more like a challenge to those who are used to their cars. It is proved that car pollution is one of the strongest and worst in the words, so this day all drivers are kindly asked to try to abandon their vehicles for at least 24 hours and try to move around the area in other ways. On foot, if it is close distance, or by bicycle. Of course, one might say that one day will not solve the issue, and why we should do this. But big deeds start from small steps! And actually, this really works. It is especially noticeable in big cities where highways usually so busy and crowded suddenly become absolutely empty.

And don’t forget about the health issues this day may solve! We don’t even notice how much we sit every day and how small we walk and actually move. All this influences our own health. It is really better to ride a bicycle that drives a car. Just try at least for one day, and you will see how beneficial this approach is! You not only save your health and the environment but also save your money. And they can be spent on much more pleasant things than a car. For example, on presenting a beautiful bouquet of flowers to a not let beautiful lady from VeronikaLove! By the way, single women from Ukraine do know how important it is not taking care of nature. They often prefer to walk home by foot rather than driving a car. This approach is surely worth a decent support from your side!
