20th of March – Vernal Equinox

Vernal Equinox is a very special day. It is the middle of the season when the Sun crosses the equator in the sky equally, and thus the day and the night last the same period. It is also known as the Spring Equinox, as usually after the 20th of March the weather improves, the temperature rises, we see more sun, and nature starts to bloom.

In many ancient cultures, this was a very special day. Nowadays people don’t tend to pay much attention to it, but a long time ago everyone celebrated the new beginning, as the winter was stepping aside.
