20th of July – National Cake Day

July 20 marks an interesting and still young holiday - the International Cake Day, dedicated to friendship and peace between people, countries, and nations is celebrated. It is held under the motto “I CAKE YOU”, which means - “I will come to you with a cake”, which, in general, is logical - how, if not with a cake with tea, celebrate peace and friendship?

The Milanese Club of the Kingdom of Love, a community of friends whose members are musicians, chefs, and other passionate creative personalities, stood at the origins of this sweet summer holiday. And it was this creative union in 2009 that began the tradition of creating joint musical cakes, which was then supported by other countries.

For the first time internationally, the Cake Day was celebrated on July 20, 2011, becoming one of the initiatives of the Kingdom of Love (an international non-commercial project implementing global cultural, humanitarian and peacemaking initiatives), and is being held to spread the ideas of peace and friendship on the planet through culture. Therefore, the phrase “I CAKE YOU” became the motto of the Day.

Today, the organizers of the holiday are the International Organizing Committee of the Kingdom of Love with the assistance of national Organizing Committees, and the activities within the framework of this holiday are carried out in cooperation with international and national professional organizations of confectioners, public organizations and simply interested people.

Since the Day of the Cake is celebrated not only for the glory of favorite sweetness but also as a sign of the strength of the friendly bonds of the peoples of the world, its holding has become an important event in the cultural and social life of different countries. Everyone is invited to participate in the festivities, which are often held with the support of local authorities. And in just a couple of years, many lovers of sweets have joined this good tradition, and the Day of the cake at all levels is celebrated by various people.

VeronikaLove also congratulates you with this sweet holiday! You might not celebrate it right now with your lady, but you may, for example, present her cooking classes from Real Gifts, and she will learn how to bake the sweetest cake of all for you!
